We have a well-appointed garden with AstroTurf grass. This allows the children full garden access throughout the year despite the weather. In addition, a soft sponge surface protects them from all those grazed hands and knees. Our apple tree provides us with home grown fruit in the late-summer, and our flower garden attracts butterflies and bees. We have a bug hotel where they can save all those worms, snails and spiders!
Our sensory flowers and herbs are planted in highly colourful tyres for all to enjoy and water.
We have an enhanced nature area & mud kitchen, allowing the children many reasons to explore, dig and play imaginatively.

The Sensory Room
We are lucky to have a Sensory Room in this setting. This room is used for small-group sensory play for them to explore. We sometimes take children to this room for story-telling or focused activities.

Our hugely popular Pre-School is open to every family in the community, and accessible to all children. We aim to support and extend the children's knowledge, skills, understanding, and confidence by providing well planned and purposeful activities in designated zones for the children to access and enjoy, that are appropriate to the developmental needs of this age group.
Our areas of play include a home corner, small world, construction, messy play, technology, music, cosy reading corner, science and investigation, circle mat, and snack table. We also have an accessible cloakroom and age appropriate toilet facilities.
We are proud of the high ratio of adults in our group, which ensures that staff can provide the best individual care and attention to each child. Our key-person system enables each child to have one special adult to relate to, and is a very successful way of building strong relationships between home and the Pre-School Room.
We recognise parents as the first and most important educators of their young children. We work hard to develop our partnership with parents and keep them informed through weekly newsletters, the notice board, 'What We Have Done Today' board, and with regular discussions about children's activities & progress
