Puddleducks is a highly successful full daycare Nursery & Pre-School

which resides in Pewsey Children's Centre.

We have two rooms dedicated for our sole use. One large room for our Pre-school children, which can accomodate up to 8 toddlers (aged 2-3 years) and 24 Pre-schoolers (aged 3-4 years) and a Nursery room which can accomodate up to 6 babies and toddlers up to the age of two years

We open from 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday throughout the year.

Our most popular sessions are:

9am - 12 noon

1pm - 4pm

9am - 3pm

However we can generally accomodate most requests.

Lunch club

This session runs each day between 12 noon - 1pm.

Nursery Pre-School

Our brilliant staff are highly qualified in all aspects of their role and are constantly updating their training and certificates to improve themselves as well as the setting. All details of their qualifications and experience can be found by clicking on the following icon

In all of our Ofsted reports, the most recent was March 2011, where we were awarded Good with Outstanding qualities, we are praised for our 'rich learning environment and dedicated key workers'. It was also stated that 'Children are confident, enthusiastic and motivated to learn. They have formed warm, positive relationships with the staff who know them well'. We have fantastic links within the community of Pewsey. We regularly visit our local primary school and participate in celebrations with them such as Easter and Christmas. The children love the adventure of going to 'Big School'.

We also have strong links with Pewsey Vale school as well as 4children, who manage Children's Centre for the Pewsey Vale community.To find out more on our links with the community please click here

Our mission statement

Puddleducks will provide high quality, affordable and accessible childcare to children from 0 to 5 years, in a safe and supportive environment and to work in partnership with parents in the provision of this childcare.

Our History

Puddleducks was established in 2000 following the demise of the creche facility in the Sport's Centre.

We formed a strong parent committee, registered with the Charity Commission, affiliated with the Pre-School Learning Alliance and registered with Ofsted.

In our infantcy, we received an Ofsted visit anually and never once scored below the rating 'Good' .

We are now in our tenth year, and in a healthy and stable position.

In September 2008, we introduced two afternoon sessions and a lunch club three days a week to meet the needs and demands of the local community. We also offered 15 hours of free entitlement for 3 year olds

We relocated into Pewsey Children's Centre in November 2010 and now offer full daycare facilities to all.
