Our Brilliant Teachers   
 
Puddleducks prides itself on the quality of its teaching staff. They are fully committed to their roles, experienced and qualified.
 
We have a full training program in place to ensure all staff are up to date with essential training, such as, food hygiene, first aid, health and safety, child protection and SEN (special educational needs). 
 
We are also in the very fortunate position of  being able to flex up our teaching numbers to meet demand. Therefore children will always find an available place with us.
 
Our Nursery Manager is Beverley Smith. She is qualified to NVQ4 and is the Early Years Professional (designate) for Pewsey Children's Centre. Beverley has First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Protection (Level 2), Health & Safety, Manual Handling and Safer Recruitment and is responsible for the setting's compliancy, has financial control and co-ordinates applications and recruitement. She also oversees the practices and procedures of the officers responsible for Child Protection, Health & Safety and SEN.  
 
Our Nursery Supervisor and curriculum leader is June Goddard, a highly qualified early years teacher, who has many years experience in working with children 2 - 5 years old.      
June has been with Puddleducks since 2002. She is qualified to NVQ4, has First Aid, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Child Protection. June is also our SENCO specialist (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) and liaises with many outside agencies to improve the learning environment. June  commenced her Foundation Degree at Winchester University in September 2009 and has completed her second year.
 
We have eight Early Years Practioners 
 
Melanie Turner joined Puddleducks in September 2008. She is qualified to NVQ4 and has experience working in a full daycare centre, particularly with babies and toddlers. Melanie has Child Protection (level 2) training and is our Child Protection Officer. She has Food Hygiene and is also a qualified  First Aider. Melanie is our Baby Room leader and deputy supervisor.
 
Paula Fry started working for Puddleducks in 2007 and passed her NVQ3 in November 2010. Paula has taken on the role of Health and Safety Officer. In addition, she has First Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Protection level 1. Paula is our Pre-School key worker
 
Sharon Gray commenced her employment with us in September 2009. She has  gained her NVQ3. Sharon has additional training in Health & Safety, First Aid, Food Hygiene, 'Blast' Child Protection level 1 and Child Behavioural management. Sharon is our Pre-School key worker.
 
Cheryl Tapper commenced employment at Puddleducks in September 2010. Cheryl has spent the last eight years volunteering with us. She has recently  gained her NVQ3  and has training in Health & Safety, Child Protection and First Aid. Cheryl is our baby room key worker.
  
Amy West commenced volunteer work with us in September 2010 in preparation of our move and expansion in November 2010. She is a qualified First Aider. Amy has commenced her CYPW3 in January 2011 and is our Toddlers key worker.
 
Katie Greenaway commenced employment with us in March 2011. She has gained NVQ3, food hygiene and is a qualified First Aider. Katie is our baby room key worker.
 
Sonia Gadoury has commenced her CYPW3, passed child protection level 1 and in September 2011 will sit First Aid and Food Hygiene. 
 
Heather Bosson is a student early years practitioner who will commence work in September 2011. It is planned to start her CYPW2 in January 2012.
