Our Brilliant
Teachers
Puddleducks prides itself on the quality of its teaching staff. They are fully committed to their roles, experienced and qualified.
We have a full training program in place to ensure all staff are up to date with essential training, such as, food hygiene, first aid, health and safety, child protection and SEN (special educational needs).
We are also in the very fortunate position of being able to flex up our teaching numbers to meet demand. Therefore children will always find an available place with us.
Our Nursery Supervisor is June Goddard, a highly qualified early years teacher, who has many years experience in working with children 2 - 5 years old.
June has been with Puddleducks since 2002. She is qualified to NVQ4. June is also our SENCO specialist (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) and liaises with many outside agencies to improve the learning environment. June commenced her Foundation Degree at Winchester University in September 2009. She is also one of our four key person teachers
We have three Early Years Practioners
Melanie Turner joined Puddleducks in September 2008. She is qualified to NVQ3 and has experience working in a full daycare centre, particularly with babies and toddlers. Melanie has recently undergone Child Protection (level 2) training and has therefore become our Child Protection Officer. Melanie will commence her NVQ4 in autumn 2009.
